And the DOJ's media releases, especially early on in their attacks on the Schneiders, DON"T constitute contamination of the jury pool or threaten the secrecy of grand jury proceedings. I've always understood that it's a prosecutor's job to win cases, What I STILL don't understand is how it's still called "Justice" when a prosecutor has to twist, elide, slice, dice, cut-and-paste and even fabricate the truth in order to "win." And of course if nothing else works there's the tactic of using near infinite resources to attack forever until all a victim's resources are gone and defense is impossible. After all, no innocents are EVER accused, so there's no worry about convicting someone who did nothing wrong.

When did a prosecutor's job become to WIN AT ALL COSTS, and how doesn't matter? When did destroying a victim's (and that IS the right word) resources to make it impossible to defend against those attacks become a legitimate legal tactic? Or misinstructing the jury, or forbidding legitimate evidence? Or simply ignoring the law, ignoring the Medical Standard of Care and what the doctor actually DID, and what he accomplished for his patients? How can a doctor be required to be clairvoyant and KNOW when a "patient" is actually a lying cop?

As far as I can see, we no longer HAVE a "justice system."
